Caney Creek Ranch
Atoka County, OK
Caney Creek Ranch is as diverse of a property as you’ll find in Southern Oklahoma. It’s flowing springs start over 155’ above the lush bottoms along Caney Creek. Rocky hilltops mixed with native grass and crosstimbers of the Arbuckle Mountain foothills drop off drastically into the mature hardwoods that line the several draws and creeks leading down hill. The property has two small ponds and a crystal clear 12 acre lake, but also has three ideal locations to build new impoundments, up to 45 acres in size.
The property has a history of producing large deer, one being over 200", although it has only been hunted very lightly by the family. Turkeys roost in the towering timber along the creek and quail can still be heard whistling from within the plum and sumac thickets. A small cabin with power and water provides adequate living quarters to span the nights between hunts, or the property also has many great building locations to start your own get-a-way.
