Potts Land Company was founded to provide landowners in Southern Oklahoma with a brokerage that specifically specializes in land. We also help interested buyers find potential properties that fully meet their needs. Whether searching for a new hunting property, home site, farm or ranch, we have the experience and knowledge of Southern Oklahoma land to bring buyers and sellers together.
Having grown up Ardmore, Oklahoma and owning family land on the Love/Jefferson County line, I have spent my entire life hunting, fishing, working and managing land in Southern Oklahoma. I have an excellent working relationship with many regional brokers and have an extensive database of local landowners which I know either personally or professionally.
I am an avid outdoorsman and hunt year-round during whatever season is open - turkey, dove, waterfowl and bowhunting deer to name a few. Bass fishing is also an important pastime of mine and I love fly-fishing annually in Colorado. I am lucky enough to have some family land that I manage with waterfowl plantings, food plots, prescribed fire and other native techniques such as timber stand improvement. Needless to say, I am in the outdoors in Southern Oklahoma during all seasons throughout the year. I have personally tried and failed and tried and succeeded at about every type of wildlife management technique or philosphy, specifically in the climate, growing season, annual rainfall, etc of this region.
I have also fallen in love with outdoor and wildlife photography. All images found on my website were taken by me, with my Nikon DSLR cameras. Some of my work was recently chosen for the magazine "Outdoor Oklahoma", the "Annual Noble Foundation Calendar" and "Southern Oklahoma Living Magazine."
After graduating college from the University of Oklahoma and marrying my beautiful wife Jackie, we moved back to Ardmore so that I could fulfill my dream of working on and with the land in the area I love so much. We now have a rambunctious 2 year old son named Eli who keeps us beyond busy.
In addition to work and play, I stay very active in the community, through non-profit, economic organizations and wildlife-related groups. Below are a few organizations with which I am involved:
